The RDI Conference will take place across two full days on Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th of June.

The conference program will draw out a series of sub-themes through a range of interactive parallel sessions. These parallel sessions feature papers, workshops and panels identified through a peer-reviewed abstract submission process. The five sub-themes are:

  • United we Stand: Solidarity & Measurable Impact
  • Bending the Boundaries
  • Who’s got the Answers? Solutions-based Approaches to Development
  • Show me the Innovation! New Approaches to Research Partnerships
  • New Technologies: Friend or Foe?

Welcome Dinner – 13 June 

Join the Conference welcome dinner to network with peers and conference presenters in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. The welcome dinner will be held from 6.30pm in the in the University of Sydney's Holme Building – a warm and historic building only 10 minutes stroll from the main Conference venue. Enjoy canapés, drinks and a delicious two-course meal with entertainment provided by the talented students of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Monica Barone, CEO of the City of Sydney since 2006, will deliver a keynote speech highlighting the City's vision for Sustainable Sydney 2030. We look forward to Monica bringing a local perspective to how cross-sector partnerships are being applied to Australia’s own sustainability challenges.

The dinner will be hosted by Dr Elisabeth Kramer, Deputy Director of the Sydney Southeast Asia Centre at the University.

Student Forum

The RDI Conference is also pleased to host a Student Forum and series of thematic Side Events which will provide additional opportunities for cross-sectoral learning and collaboration.
